Day 2
Play a round at the Pebble Beach Golf Links after breakfast. The exquisite beauty and
unique challenge of Pebble Beach Golf Links has thrilled golfers and spectators alike for many years and has been the site of golf's most prestigious tournaments.
Designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant, the course hugs the rugged coastline,
providing wide-open vistas, cliffside fairways and sloping greens. It is a delightful challenge for all
players.
After your round we recommend a visit to Carmel-by-the-sea.
Just outside the south gate of Pebble Beach, at the tail end of 17 Mile Drive, is the
storybook village of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Its white sand beaches, tree-lined streets and fairy-tale houses have made it an
inspiration to poets and artists for years. Visitors will delight year-round in its charming shops,
art galleries, restaurants and bakeries.
Day 3
Discover nature's treasures while you explore the serene majesty of Del Monte Forest as
you embark on the 17 Mile Drive after breakfast.
Here you'll quickly experience the magic of a legendary scenic tour that's home to The
Lone Cypress, Seal and Bird Rocks, Fanshell Beach, Point Joe, and the colliding currents of The
Restless Sea.
You'll see black cormorants, brown pelicans, California sea otters, harbour seals, and
idle sea lions all in their natural habitat. Colourful native wildflowers dot the scene, adorning the
cool, soothing hues of the seashore and carefully preserved dunescape.
Along the way, you'll encounter the emerald fairways of such famous golf courses as The
Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill and the world-renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links.
For a gourmet picnic lunch along 17 Mile Drive, visit Pebble Beach Market
adjacent to The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
Day 4
After a filling breakfast, head for the fairways of Spyglass Hill Golf Club. The design
features two distinctly different kinds of terrain that influence the way the holes look and play.
The first five holes roll through sandy seaside dunes challenging the golfer to carefully
pick the safest path, while the following 13 holes are cut through majestic pines with elevated
greens, strategically placed bunkers and lakes to grab the errant shot.
After your round we suggest a drive down the coast to Big Sur.
The breathtaking views are worth the hairpin turns.
Stop at Point Lobos for a picnic or a stroll along the dramatic cliffsides. Hike along the
streams in the cool, tree lined valleys, climb up on the high ridges for a spectacular view of the
coastline on the western slope and gaze into three million acres of wilderness in the Los Padres
National Forest on the eastern slope.
Day 5
Drive to Monterey after breakfast and discover California's first capital. The days of
Steinbeck's Cannery Row still echo along the famous waterfront of Monterey's boat harbour,
boasting a thriving downtown and world-famous aquarium.
Located in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the largest Marine Sanctuary in
the world, Monterey Bay provides a natural setting for the Monterey Harbour and the Monterey
Municipal Marina.
Experience the ultimate insider's view of the Aquarium and rediscover California's
animals and plants in front of the galleries, how they prepare food for them, and where they keep new arrivals.
Enjoy a spectacular sunset sail with wine and cheese and get a unique view of the
Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
Day 6
Tee off at The Links at Spanish Bay after breakfast. This course is so authentic that even
the Monterey coastline mirrors the rugged, natural beauty of Scotland and it was built with a deep
respect for environmental preservation.
Here, the golf course provides you with the choice of using your regular shot or a low,
running shot to play the firm turf while keeping the ball under the steady ocean breezes.
After golf, we recommend a visit to the Pacific Grove.
Located next to Monterey, Pacific Grove, first developed in the 1800s, is a historic town
complete with Victorian homes and seaside cottages.
Day 7
After enjoying breakfast, visit the Monterey Wineries.
The Monterey region has 200 years of wine growing history. Larger than
other California wine regions, Monterey County boasts over 40,000 acres planted in varietal wine
grapes. Within the world-class designation of Monterey County, the region has nine American
Viticultural Areas that have been identified as truly exceptional winegrowing districts.
Approximately 85 vintners and growers call Monterey County "home",
while vintners around the state purchase grapes from Monterey County growers recognising
Monterey's world-class reputation.
Many of the Monterey County Wineries have tasting rooms open to the public. These
tasting rooms provide a relaxed atmosphere where guests receive knowledgeable, personal
attention while tasting wines and learning about the winery. Several of the larger wineries offer
tours of their facilities where one can learn about the winemaking process.
Day 8

airport and board your flight back home.
