special place to visit

of 1755, the area still retains much of its original layout.
Adjacent to the Alfama are the likewise old quarters of Castelo and Mouraria, on the
western and northern slopes of the hill that is crowned by St. George's Castle.
The Graca quarter and the churches of Sao Vicente de Fora and Santa Engracia are

covered building facades and narrow Medieval streets, where one can hear the fado being played
and sung at night.

This is a very attractive course with a great variety of holes.
Explore Faro town, the capital of the Algarve after your round of golf. Well worth a visit is
the cathedral, archaeological museum and the peaceful semi-walled old quarter. Faro's old town is
dominated by the cathedral (Se Catedral). The original Gothic church was built in the 13th century,
but severely damaged during the 1755 earthquake. Only the tower and and a doorwayremained

course. Golf buggy available.
Spend remainder of the day topping up your tan on the beach or beside the pool with a
