Twenty seven unforgettable holes as
designed by renowned Robert Trent Jones Jr, and described by him as "Unquestionably one of the
world's finest golfing experiences".
Built on a hilly site, part of which was a disused limestone quarry, the course is routed past and over
rocky ravines, bordered by lush bushland and affording frequent sweeping vistas of the surrounding
countryside and suburbs. Three nine-hole loops play away from the clubhouse, aptly named the Lakes,
Quarry and Dunes Nines respectively.
While the Quarry Nine provides the most spectacular experience with some breathtaking quarry carries,
the Lakes and Dunes are equally enticing. From some of the higher points on the Lakes Nine, golfers
are treated to tantalising views of the Sunset Coast and the Indian Ocean. Not surprisingly, Joondalup
has won many accolades over the years and is rated Australia s #1 Resort Golf Course 2003/4 and
again 2005/6 (Golf Australia Magazine).
