Positioned in the heart of Tasmania's
second largest city, the Sebel Launceston is close to all the major attractions and the bustling
seaport area of Launceston.
Separated from mainland Australia by the 240 km stretch of Bass Strait, Tasmania (or 'Tassie' as
known by the locals) is an island where the impeneterable wilderness surrounds fascinating
historical and picturesque towns.
As a holiday destination, it is hard to find another place that offers so much variety in
its scenery, cuisine and attractions, as this unique island. From granite mountains to secluded
bays, from bustling markets to heritage trails you are invited to go on a journey of discovery and
wonder.
The Langham, Melbourne reflects the essence of cultural life in Melbourne.
There are so many things to see in and around Melbourne. It hosts a number of historic
buildings displaying all types of influences and styles, making it a diverse and interesting place to
visit.
Visit the impressive Crown Casino, Clarendon Street, which is the largest in the
Southern Hemisphere. Here you'll find not only gambling, but also bars, cafes and restaurants.
When passing the Casino you may also be fortunate enough to watch one of the fire displays from
the large statues that mark the entrance of the Casino.

Day 1
Arrive Melbourne Airport. Catch your connecting flight to Launceston where you'll be
welcomed by local tour representative who will assist you with collecting your vehicle at the
airport and road assist to the Sebel Hotel Launcheston, positioned in the heart of Tasmania's second
largest city.
The hotel offers charming, boutique style accommodation and geusts can take
advantage of fully self contained suites, restaurant and wine bar, guest lounge with open fire and a
private courtyard framed by Oak trees.
The rest of day is free to do sightseeing around Launceston. We recommend visiting the
James Boag Brewery. Discover the traditions that have been handed down from generation to
generation of brewing some of the finest quality beers with premium ingredients.
Day 2
Tee off at Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links after breakfast for your first round at this magnificent course.
Pull buggy included
The breathtaking landscape, upon which the course has been created, mirrors the wild
coastal links courses of Scotland and Ireland.
The outward nine at Barnbougle plays through a series of saddles that both shelter and
direct play lines. The back nine is more open but arguably more striking with multiple panoramas of
the course, adjoining bay and the town of Bridport.
Enjoy a nice lunch in the Clubhouse before another testing round at Barnbougle.
Day 3
Meet up with your viticulture guide for a full day privately guided wine tasting tour of the
Tamar Valley.
Visit seven of Australia's best cool climate vineyards including world renowned Pipers
Brook and Jansz Wines. Discover an array of award winning cool climate wines ranging from
Sparkling wines through to Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
Enjoy the diversity of the Tamar Valley wineries ranging from the family run producers
to state of the art wineries and cellar doors. Each vineyard and cellar door has its own special
charm and character to experience and explore.
Day 4
Check out and return your vehicle to the airport. Catch an early morning flight to
Melbourne. Upon arrival, collect your vehicle and drive to the Royal Melbourne Golf Club for a
round of golf.
Check in at the Langham Hotel Melbourne, situated on the south bank of the Yarra
River, after golf.
Langham Hotel affords five star service and quality in a great location. With 387
beautifully appointed rooms and suites, Langham Hotel offers every facility the discerning traveller
could want, also including all day dining with Melba Brasserie, Tisane Lounge and a state of the art
Health and Fitness Centre
Day 5
Head for the fairways of the The Metroplitan Golf Club after breakfast.
Metropolitan enjoys a reputation as one of the best conditioned and most beautiful
courses in the Australia. Pure Couch grass fairways with large, fast Bent-grass greens that are
hand-mown to the edges of the greenside bunkers add greatly to the challenge of the course.
After golf we recommend a great walking tour through Melbourne town that will sweep
you into laneways filled with libraries, art galleries, parks, shops and theatres.
Day 6
Tee off at Kingston Heath Golf Club after breakfast.
Built on only 125 hectares, it's a perfectly manicured course. The bunkering and clever
use of dips and hollows visually fools the non observant golfer.
It is a course with multiple layers of complexity and its wonder is that the more one
plays it, the greater your appreciation for its sophistication becomes.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the vibrant waterfront atmosphere from Federation
Square to Southbank Boulevard and then on to the world famous Crown Casino where you can
enjoy dinner at one of the numerous restaurants.
Day 7
Meet up with your viticulture guide for a full day privately guided wine tasting tour of the
Yarra Valley Wine Region.
Yering Station, Yering Farm and Rochford's provide a cellar door tasting on a range of
their wines. A private walk-through tour of Domaine Chandon's winery shows you the magic of
creating a great glass of bubbly and Rochford Wines offer a cellar door tasting before lunch which
helps you to decide what will go nicely with your food.
Domaine Chandon supplies a glass of premium sparkling or still wine with light tasting
platters after a guided tour of the winery.
Day 8
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and doing some last minute gift shopping. Return
vehicle to airport and catch your flight back home.
