Nestled in a creek side valley beside the
Robina town centre on Australia's Gold Coast, the Glades, a 72 par championship course, was recently
voted Queensland's No. 1 Golf Course by Golf Australia's 2002 - "Australia's 25 Best Courses"
Boasting superb agronomy that is unique to the area, in particular, the greens consist of a "Tropical Bent" grass
which was specially developed for the Glades. This grass will ensure a superior putting surface for the
entire year. A feature on the course is the trademark Greg Norman bunkering, in total there are 98
bunkers over 18 holes.
In his design, Greg Norman not only had a vision to create a challenging golf course, but he also
retained 9 hectares of wetland area to create a natural wildlife sanctuary within the course.
